Associate Director, HEOR Strategy

The Genesis Research Group HEOR Strategy team works collaboratively with clients, their external stakeholders, and our broad team of internal experts to develop and apply evidence to support the value of pharmaceutical products, to create a strategic pathway to access, and to deliver rigorous research findings that support the varying needs of the pharmaceutical industry. The Genesis team has decades of combined experience, including a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and industry-leading work in HEOR strategy.

The Associate Director, HEOR Strategy will seamlessly provide strategic consultation and scientific leadership across a wide range of HEOR evidence generation and planning initiatives and deliverables. The individual in this role will serve as a resource to internal teams and to our clients in the design and delivery of insightful and value-added HEOR solutions.

Flexible – hybrid or remote, depending on location.

Accountabilities within this role:

  • Through strategic consultation with clients, develop evidence solutions to support value and access strategies for pharmaceutical products according to the planned project timelines and budget, and in compliance with all company quality standards and processes.
  • Foster existing and new client relationships, including provision of strategic support, methodological design/approach, and collaborate to develop HEOR strategy materials, post-submission support, and scientific advice submissions.
  • Assist in developing standards and processes, facilitate training opportunities, and provide consultation and resources to Genesis Research Group project teams in topics related to HEOR strategy and solutions.
  • Provide strategic input and work with a team to prepare high-quality written technical reports, in compliance with all company  quality standards and processes, mentor junior team members in developing relevant sections or drafts.
  • Provide strategic input and work with a team to prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, for use within the company and externally to client, and mentor junior team members in developing relevant sections or drafts.
  • Lead and/or attend relevant internal and/or external team meetings.
  • Ensure all work is delivered with high-quality and within planned project timelines and/ or budgeted hours (if relevant).
  • Lead and/or contribute to the team’s development of publications and/or posters for national or international conferences.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of health economic outcomes research and/or economic modelling and health technology experience in consulting for the pharmaceutical industry, with deep familiarity and understanding of the use of economic modelling in payer/HTA decision making.
  • Advanced understanding of HEOR strategy, value dossier development, HTA requirements including understanding of the application of evidence to support payer/HTA decisions.
  • Master’s or PhD degree within a relevant discipline (e.g., health economics, mathematics, economics, or other related discipline).
  • Proven research skills across a range of project types, demonstrated by a publication record.
  • Client-facing experience and excellent project management skills, including ability to multi-task and deliver quality work to planned timelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to support communication of complex scientific ideas in a clear and succinct manner.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Methodical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple, simultaneous projects and coordinate with various internal project teams, as well as stakeholder management skills, including ability to challenge diplomatically and appropriately.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, showing an ability to find and employ effective, creative solutions and adjust course when needed.
