Job Overview: Project Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Operations Manager (POM) to join our Project Operations & Initiatives team. The POM will play a key role in ensuring the successful management of project administration, financial oversight, and documentation. This position will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the seamless execution of projects, from initiation to closing, with a focus on efficiency, financial management, and ensuring adherence to quality and process standards.

Flexible – hybrid or remote, depending on location.

Accountabilities within this role:

  • Lead administrative and financial aspects of new project set up within GR systems (MS Teams, SalesForce, Certinia, Excel).
  • Schedule and coordinate internal project kickoff and closeout meetings.
  • Ensure project and quality management standards/processes are adhered to by the cross-functional project team throughout the duration of the engagement.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of project financials including planning, resource utilization, revenue forecasting, and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead real-time project financial performance monitoring and provide insights. Keep project teams informed of project financials/KPIs, escalate issues to project leads and collaborate to course-correct when required.
  • Lead discussion on project finances at internal kickoff, internal project status calls and project closeouts.
  • Support development of internal tools and dashboards (in Tableau or similar) to view internal project financial metrics, engagement utilization and resourcing, and generate external, client-facing insights.
  • Generate client-facing utilization and project status reports.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, financial oversight, and utilization tracking.
  • Knowledge of project financials, revenue forecasting, margins, and profitability.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Teams, SalesForce, Certinia, and Tableau (or similar). Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
