Project Financial Analyst

What You'll Do

The Project Financial Analyst (PFA) plays a critical role in enabling Genesis Research Group to plan and scale its growth initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders to provide financial, project management, and other key insights into important decisions based on each team’s and project’s financial analysis and performance.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating complex analyses effectively to various individuals across the business and welcome rolling-up their sleeves to get the job done.

The candidate must be proficient in Excel, have strong analytical skills, and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

The PFA Analyst will report to the Head of Client Engagement.

Accountabilities within this role:

  • Oversee and manage internal project financial planning, budgeting, resource utilization, and forecasting
  • Create project tracking reports, variance analysis reports, and financial models
  • Lead real-time project performance monitoring
  • Escalate issues and/or exceptions to project leads
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives
  • Oversee Certinia and SalesForce administration, data input and analysis.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis in a consulting company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related equivalent professional experience
  • SalesForce and Certinia proficiency.

Desirable:

  • Financial acumen, excellent quantitative skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative, forward thinker, pro-active, effective communicator, works independently, agile learner
  • Experience in the life sciences industry, preferably in a role supporting research teams
  • Global experience a plus.
